SOUTHSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD

The Southside neighborhood is located at the southern end and main entrance to CAL’s campus. Due to the large student presence, the Southside has historically been the neighborhood most closely associated with CAL. Most famous for Telegraph Avenue the Southside is home to some of the most notable retail shops, restaurants, and entertainment establishments in Berkeley. With the campus’ fraternities and sororities mostly clustered in the eastern part of the Southside neighborhood, The Den is ideally located to allow students to visit and participate in CALs robust greek system.
